This privacy policy covers the software and services provided by Tech Devs Ltd. This includes www.mycars.io (the “Site”) as well as MyCars app and www.mycars.io (together “Digital Products”). Tech Devs Ltd is registered in England and Wales company number 11235868 with its registered office being 30 Wendover Heights, Old Tring Road, Wendover, United Kingdom, HP22 6PH (“we”, “us” and/or “our”).

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Information you provide to us.

Your Account – If you create an account with us we will ask for and record information such as your name, email address and telephone number. You may also be asked to provide payment and billing information if required.

Vehicle Management – We will ask for details such as your Vehicle Registration Number for the vehicles that you wish to manage.

Support – When you contact us for support we will collect information such as name, email address and telephone number and specific information relating to the support issue.

Web Forms – If submit information via a form on our website we will collect this formation information and may collect your IP address, browser information, location and device.

Social Media  When you contact us via social media  (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn etc) will collect information such as your profile name, name, email address and any other information that is provided to us that we may reasonably require.

Vehicle Management – Where you have a account with us our partners may provide us with information relating to your vehicle including information such as your registration number.

Account Creation – When you create an account with us using a external authentication. For example when you login with Google or Facebook we will be provided with information such as your name and email address

Who we share your information with

In order for our products and services to function we share your information and improve our services to you our services to you.

Service Partners – If you are using the mycars app we will share personal information such as your name, email, contact number and vehicle registration(s) with the service partner that has licenced the service. You can find out details of the Licencee from within the app.

Analytics – We share information with companies such as Google and Microsoft to improve the service using cookies and other similar technologies. You can see more information on our cookie policy here –

Social Media –  We share information with companies such as Google to show you products that might interest you while you’re browsing the internet or using social media. IT Infrastructure – We need to share information with IT companies who support our website and other business systems. These companies currently include:

The legal basis we reply on for for data processing

We use this basis to provide the service that you have requested or signed up for.

We use this basis for extended functionality and marketing. Whenever we use this basis we will clearly ask for your consent before proceeding with processing using this basis.

How long we retain your data

When we collect your we only keep it for as long as required. At the end of that period your data will either be deleted or anonymised.

Our retention period for the MyCars app is 5 years after the last recorded activity. We will notify you before any data is deleted.

What rights you have over your data

Right to be informed – We will always inform you about how and when we use your personal data. Information about this can be found at relevant points while using our products and services and in this privacy policy.

Right of access – You have the right to request a copy of your personal data we hold. You can do this from My Account section within the MyCars app.

Right to rectification – You have the right to have any incorrect information corrected. You can do this for most of your data from within the My Account section from within the app. For any other information you can contact us or your service partner directly.

The right to erasure – You have the “Right to be forgotten”. You can do this by deleting your account from within the My Account section in the app.

The right to restrict processing – In certain circumstances, generally while we comply with a request or objection you can request that we restrict the processing of your data.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request your data in a format that you may be able to, where technically possible transfer to another entity. We provide this information to you in a CSV file format.

Rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling. – You have the right to review our automated processing. You can contact us at support@techdevs.io

What to do if you have a complaint

In the first instance you should raise any complaints with us. You can do so by emailing support@techdevs.io.

However should you not be happy with our response you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes to our privacy policy

We may update our privacy policy. If the changes are significant, we may also email all our registered users with the new details. If required by law, we will get your permission or give you the opportunity to opt out of any new uses of your data.
